Seadog Tuxedo: The Comic!
Oh, yeah. Here's something else I did in Yunnan...

This is the black and white version, which is going in the print version. If you wanna see the original color one, let me know and I can try to get the Flash file from my brother (it's on dad's laptop, which is now back in North Carolina).

Damn! That was really cute. I laughed so much. I liked the sun melting the boats, and the ex-princess and turn coat gregory...

My brother couldn't stop laughing when he realized that I had a penguin with a hook hand. I mean, he has flippers for chissake!

So cute! Is Captain Rackam a Tintin/Red Rackham reference?

Going deeper, it's also a reference to Calico Jack Rackham, a real-life pirate whose name now adorns capes & reefs throughout the Caribbean.

Ol' Calico Jack was really something of a small-timer - he certainly never raided any volcano-kings - and is probably remembered today mostly because of two very interesting members of his crew: the famous "lady pirates" Anne Bonney and Mary Read...

(as an aside, how do penguins clamber about in the rigging with such short little legs..? *G*)

Lawyers, pirates, same diff.

True. I've been wanting to do something with the Calico-Mary-Anne incestuous love triangle for a while now, but haven't quote found the outlet for it. This, for instance, certainly isn't it :)

No problem. I was trying to channel the cartoons of our childhood.

This is... how do you say? Ah yes: brillian!

Are you planning on doing the entire thing in comics or just this introduction? Because I would do whatever I could to help (not much probably) if you wanted to actually publish something that was entirely in comics.

But yeah, like they said: most excellent. My favorite? "Unstoppable Swashbuckling Machines".

Don't know about the comic thing. I was originally hoping to write the entire game in that format, but I didn't really have time to do that and get it into Timfire's anthology. Maybe at some point later in the future. I'm also planning on doing a fairly long intro comic for Vesperteen, but it'll be shot in digital photography, with a cast and stuff, instead of illustrated like this.
